Epoxy Flooring

Epoxy Flooring

Epoxy flooring involves pouring layers of epoxy coating made up of hardeners and polymer resins over well-finished concrete that has been thoroughly cleaned and ground. Surface preparation ensures better adhesive results of the lowermost epoxy coating layer.  The next layer is the composite coat. The layer forms serve to protect the bottom layer. Colour coating and decorative chips constitute the next layer. Finally, the last layer comprising the protective shell and feature UV shielding is applied.

The epoxy coating requires a ‘no-entry’ policy to the project site until the layers are thoroughly dried out, else footprints are registered in the coating. Considering the number of layers and the time needed for each layer to dry, your epoxy floor should be ready in 3 days from start-up.

Available in clear, glossy and metallic varieties with a host of color possibilities, Epoxy flooring is the gold standard for finished concrete floors. They are chemical-resistant, non-slip, concrete-protective, highly economical, eco-friendly, scratch-resistant, long-life, fade-proof, highly light-reflective and health-enhancing as they have zero porosity that otherwise invites dust mites, mildew, moisture and bacteria.
